Meet The Coach
BackgroundPrep.com was founded by James Kurkoske, a current full-time background investigator and former police lieutenant with more than 27 years of law enforcement experience. Throughout his career, Jim served in patrol, supervision, SWAT, command assignments, and other specialized roles.
Since leaving full-time law enforcement, Jim has conducted more than 1,000 law enforcement, fire service, and public safety background investigations. His firsthand experience gives applicants insight into how investigators evaluate honesty, judgment, consistency, decision-making, and overall suitability.
